Low-carbon Travel
The conference promotes public transport and low-carbon access to Tianjin University. Travel information will cover rail, metro, bus, shuttle and walking connections. A voluntary carbon offset or climate contribution option forms part of the conference sustainability programme.
Catering and Materials
Catering will prioritise vegetarian and locally sourced food. Conference operations will reduce single-use items, use reusable signage and incorporate sustainability requirements for catering, exhibition and printing suppliers.
Digital Conference Resources
The abstract book, programme and proceedings will be provided digitally. Printing will be kept to a minimum, with sustainable signage, paperless registration and digital certificates where feasible.
Conference Legacy
The conference will share retrofit practices from Tianjin and Tianjin University, publish a post-event environmental impact report and produce a summary statement on retrofitting the built environment for a sustainable future.
